 A SPANISH GIRL AND HER ITALIAN GRANDFATHER

Pietro Lorefice, who died two years ago, was a highly-esteemed EMF missionary on the island of Sicily, Italy. Andy and Jean Woods have sent us a story about Pietro, written by his granddaughter. Andy says: ‘We have had the 
privilege of having Abigail Rivas Lorefice to stay with 
us. She has connections with the churches in Alcázar de San Juan, Ciudad Real and Cuenca (central Spain), in 
addition to her links with EMF through her maternal grandparents, Pietro and Teresa Lorefice. During her stay we have been able to ask her about herself and her grandfather. She has written a short biography of Pietro for her family’s benefit'. Andy shares a little of that story on our website.

EDITORIAL PEREGRINO ON THE WESTERN FRONT

Running a Christian publishing house in a country where hardly anybody reads anything is no easy task! Even 
Christians (of which there are not many) are usually not great fans of reading; Christians of reformed convictions (of which there are even fewer) are, unfortunately, not very different as regards reading habits. So Matt Hill’s job as manager of ‘Editorial Peregrino’, a publisher of reformed Christian books in Spanish, is challenging, to say the least. To promote the literature brought out by ‘Peregrino’, Matt recently travelled to the US and Cuba. Read on our website to find out how this long trip went.

Monthly Video Focus

Our focus this month is on the work in the evangelical church Alcázar de San Juan, in La Mancha, central Spain, where José Moreno Berrocal (known to his friends as Pepe) is the pastor. Pepe explains that the neediest part of the world for the gospel is Europe, and Spain is no exception. The church has a heart to reach out to people, both through the church services and through the daily contact with those in the city. 

Please pray:

• That the Lord will bless the expository preaching of his word, and for the work of the Holy Spirit, to convict and to see the beauty and sufficiency of the Lord Jesus.
• Give thanks for the many children and teenagers who come to the church - but pray for more to come to the Lord in saving faith.
